Located in the west central and southern regions of  Stann Creek and Toledo Belize, Maya Mountains  Cacao (MMC) works with 350 certified organic cacao farmers to produces a delectable bean.

Average farmgate price paid - $3.15 per kilogram

The beans are collected by MMC  where they are fermented in wooden boxes.  Drying is a three stage process, first via indirect sun in solar dryers on perforated tables, followed by direct sun roll-out decks and finished on cement.
